Dear Pastor Adebayo Adeyokunnu,
On behalf of myself, my wife, our family, and all the members of RCCG House of Grace in Crofton, Maryland, we wish to celebrate you on your 70th birthday on October 16, 2024. It is with immense joy and gratitude that we reflect on the incredible impact you have had on our lives and the lives of countless others.
For the past 27 years, my wife and I have been blessed to serve under your ministry. Your fatherly care, wisdom, and mentorship have guided us from being ordinary members to becoming full pastors in The Redeemed Christian Church of God. Your leadership at Victory Temple Bowie has been a transformative experience, and your influence has been a beacon of light, inspiring us to reach heights we never thought possible.
One of the most remarkable graces you demonstrate is your capacity to raise leaders through training and discipleship, a testament to your outstanding leadership. Your ministry has produced leaders who positively impact their generation in ministry, business, academia, and other spheres of human endeavor. Your overriding passion is to see people succeed, fulfill their divine destiny, and make a glorious eternity with Christ. As a shepherd at heart, you truly believe that no life is beyond the redeeming love and power of the gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
We are constantly reminded of Proverbs 27:17, which says, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” Your guidance and mentorship have sharpened us and countless others, equipping us to be better servants of God. We will forever be grateful for the wisdom you have imparted, the faith you have nurtured, and the countless prayers you have offered on our behalf.
As you enter this new chapter of your life, we pray that the Lord continues to bless you with good health, joy, and the fulfillment of all your heart’s desires. May His grace and favor abound in your life, and may He continue to use you mightily in His vineyard.

Tribute: Pastor Bayo Adeyokunnu
I can describe Pastor Bayo Adeyokunnu as a man that fears God and wholly follows the Lord. I have known him for more than 30 years and I can say that he has been the same man that I met over three decades ago. Our relationship started in the church with interaction between members of the first model church of RCCG in Ikeja (the first-born family) and the Headquarters church in Ebute Metta-Lagos. The reception he accorded my family at our first attendance of the thanksgiving service at the annual Convention of RCCG in 1989 will forever be remembered, my wife and my three little kids were honored to seat in the front row to participate gracefully in the Convention. It was an act of selfless service and humility which has been ringing in my ears up till today.
The spiritual journey is one of absolute dedication, diligence, distinction, and hard work. These are hallmarks of Pastor Adeyokunnu, I have watched him from close quarters having had the opportunity to stay in his house while on vacation to the United States a few times especially at the beginning of VT Bowie. I was present when fund raising luncheon was held in 1999 to acquire the property of the church. One parish that can be likened to the parable of the mustard seed in Matthew 13: 31-32, the least of the seed that grew and became greater than all the trees and had many branches.
Pastor Bayo Adeyokunnu is a man of boundless faith, unlimited optimism, and extremely generous to everyone. I benefitted from the generosity when he sought for school for my daughter to study in the United States and accommodated her and made sure she was settled and studied to earn her undergrad degree. The generosity was a magnet that pulled my younger daughter to the US and ultimately the parents as well. Pastor Bayo Adeyokunnu wholly follows the Lord in righteousness, absolute obedience to God, and sincere love for the people, and commitment to his calling which I believe has been his strength in ministry.
We wish you a grand birthday celebration and a greater success in all your endeavors.

Happy birthday to our esteemed regional Pastor. We love and celebrate you and thank God for His grace reflecting in your life and ministry. He has seen you through life’s challenges victoriously and brought you gloriously into this new, pleasant age. Your life and ministry are a testament to God’s goodness and benevolence. You’ve impacted my life tremendously and have been a blessing by being a father figure, an inspiration, and a rock-solid support system. I’m deeply grateful to God for having you in my life. I pray that the Lord will elevate you in life and ministry, strengthen you in Him with increased anointing, and answer all your prayers by His mercy in Jesus’ Name. PASTOR BAYO ADEYOKUNNU @ 70
We give glory to God for the life of our beloved brother, pastor, mentor, and benefactor. I have been privileged to know him since our childhood days, and my earliest memories of him are those of a loving and caring big brother. Growing up, he maintained that same spirit, which ultimately drew me to the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).
As a young Christian, he served as a mentor, embodying Christian virtues and modeling what a good family life should be. He did this not so much with words, but through his actions. You only need to observe him as he prays, studies the Word, preaches the gospel, and interacts with his wife and children to see his commitment and diligence, which are truly his nature.
He exhibits an uncommon Christian love and kindness, always caring for others and sharing their burdens with ease. His love and commitment to the work of God are infectious—you can’t be around him without catching that spirit. He has mentored many, both young and old believers, who have been fortunate to come under his guidance.
He is a great teacher of the Word and a dedicated church planter, known for his fervent prayer and fasting. Spend some time with him, and you will find yourself becoming a prayer warrior. He is very blunt and uncompromising—he will tell you the truth as it is. If you want an honest opinion about something, he is the one to ask.
Pastor Bayo is a man of many parts—a dynamic preacher, teacher, author, and entrepreneur. I have learned so much from him and continue to learn every day. I pray that the Lord grants you long life, good health, and increases you more and more every day of your life.
